e1a8e913f9 [PATCH] lm70: New hardware monitoring driver
This driver implements support for the National Semiconductor LM70
temperature sensor.

The LM70 temperature sensor chip supports a single temperature sensor.
It communicates with a host processor (or microcontroller) via an
SPI/Microwire Bus interface.

Communication with the LM70 is simple: when the temperature is to be sensed,
the driver accesses the LM70 using SPI communication: 16 SCLK cycles
comprise the MOSI/MISO loop. At the end of the transfer, the 11-bit 2's
complement digital temperature (sent via the SIO line), is available in the
driver for interpretation. This driver makes use of the kernel's in-core
SPI support.

b7c066044f [PATCH] abituguru: Fix fan detection
One of my testers had a problem where the driver only saw 2 of the 4 fan
sensors his uGuru has, this fixes this.
-accept 0x40 (bit 6) being high as a valid fan sensor setting for all fans
not just fan 1, I have a feeling this bit indicates whether or not a fan is
  actually connected .

a2392e0b90 [PATCH] abituguru: Review fixes
Fixes to the Abit uGuru driver as requested in review by Jean Delvare:
 - exactly calculate the sysfs_names array length using macro
 - use snprintf when generating names to double check that the sysfs_names
   array does not overflow.
 - use ARRAY_SIZE and / or defines to determine number of loops in for loops
   instead of using hardcoded values.
 - In abituguru_probe(), refactor the error path leaving a single call to kfree

53e2761bb2 [PATCH] w83792d: Fix setting the PWM value
W83792D use pwm register low 4 bits to store PWM/DC value, bit 7
is used to store fan PWM/DC mode. The store_pwm function did not
convert the pwm input correctly, so it may change the fan mode
when new value is set.

This fix the problem. Change the "index" value of pwm*_mode
and pwm* SENSOR_ATTR to simplify code.

597a7679dd [PATCH] revert incorrect mutex conversion in hdaps driver
This reverts the mutex conversion that was recently done to the hdaps
driver; this coversion was buggy because the hdaps driver started using
this semaphore in IRQ context, which mutexes do not allow. Easiest
solution for now is to just revert the patch (the patch was part of a
bigger GIT commit, 9a61bf6300 but this

(Lack of idr locking didn't hurt when all callers were I2C clients, as the

c5e3fbf22c [PATCH] hwmon: Fix reboot on it87 driver load
Only scan I2C address 0x2d. This is the default address and no IT87xxF

better accessed through their ISA interface anyway.

This fixes bug #5889, although it doesn't address the whole class
of problems. We'd need the ability to blacklist arbitrary I2C addresses
on systems known to contain I2C devices which behave badly when probed.

Plan the I2C interface for removal as well. If nobody complains within

actually needed by anyone.

e53004e20a [PATCH] hwmon: New f71805f driver
This is my f71805f hardware monitoring driver ported from lm_sensors
to Linux 2.6. This new driver differs from the other hardware monitoring

be optimal yet (we would probably need a generic infrastructure and bus
type for Super-I/O logical devices) but it is certainly much better than
the i2c-isa solution.

Note that this driver requires lm_sensors CVS. I hope to get it

8a9947552d [PATCH] i2c: Drop i2c_driver.flags, 2 of 3
Just about every i2c chip driver sets the I2C_DF_NOTIFY flag, so we
can simply make it the default and drop the flag. If any driver really
doesn't want to be notified when i2c adapters are added, that driver
can simply omit to set .attach_adapter. This approach is also more
robust as it prevents accidental NULL pointer dereferences.

Add PEC support to the lm90 driver. Only the ADM1032 chip supports it,
and in a rather tricky way, which is why this patch comes with
documentation reinforcements. At least, this demonstrates that the new
PEC support logic in i2c-core can properly deal with chips with partial
PEC support.

As enabling PEC causes a significant performance drop, it can be
disabled through a sysfs file (unsurprisingly named "pec").

ada0c2f8fa [PATCH] hwmon: Fix w83627ehf/hf vs PNPACPI conflict (bug #4014)
This patch changes w83627hf and w83627ehf drivers to reserve only ports
0x295-0x296, instead of full 0x290-0x297 range. While some other
sensors chips respond to all addresses in 0x290-0x297 range, Winbond
chips respond to 0x295-0x296 only (this behavior is implied by
documentation, and matches behavior observed on real systems). This is
not problem alone, as no BIOS was found to put something at these unused
addresses, and sensors chip itself provides nothing there as well.

But in addition to only respond to these two addresses, also BIOS
vendors report in their ACPI-PnP structures that there is some resource
at I/O address 0x295 of length 2. And when later this hwmon driver
attempts to request region with base 0x290/length 8, it fails as one
request_region cannot span more than one device.

Due to this we have to ask only for region this hardware really
occupies, otherwise driver cannot be loaded on systems with ACPI-PnP
enabled.

9480e307cd [PATCH] DRIVER MODEL: Get rid of the obsolete tri-level suspend/resume callbacks
In PM v1, all devices were called at SUSPEND_DISABLE level. Then
all devices were called at SUSPEND_SAVE_STATE level, and finally
SUSPEND_POWER_DOWN level. However, with PM v2, to maintain
compatibility for platform devices, I arranged for the PM v2
suspend/resume callbacks to call the old PM v1 suspend/resume
callbacks three times with each level in order so that existing
drivers continued to work.

Since this is obsolete infrastructure which is no longer necessary,
we can remove it. Here's an (untested) patch to do exactly that.

2251cf1a4b [PATCH] hwmon: w83627hf: no reset by default
Make the reset of the chips in w83627hf optional rather than the
default. This reset has been causing trouble several times already. It
may even go completely away unless it proves to be useful to at least
one user.

b51f64c0de [PATCH] hwmon: fix sis5595, via686a force_addr module parameter
Recent changes to the i2c-isa design broke the force_addr parameter of
two hardware monitoring drivers as a side effect: sis5595 and via686a.
The last address test was in fact useless beforehand, and the redesign
turned it into a bug. I'm sorry about that.

11be27ea9b [PATCH] hwmon: (3/3) pc87360 driver update
pc87360: consolidate fan helper

This patch consolidates the _set_fan_min() helper routine into the 2
line sysfs-callback wrapper that uses it.

694fa056a6 [PATCH] hwmon: (2/3) pc87360 driver update
pc87360: number-skew to init

The temp, therm, fan, pwm callbacks all have an offset skew in the code
which accommodates attribute numbering conventions under
/sys/bus/i2c/devices/9191-6620/ (ie they start at 1)

This patch moves that skew into the declaration, and out of the
functions (except for therm, where we simplify from 2 skews to 1). The
declarative skew is clearer, less error-prone, and more efficient.

The use of 11+offset-4 below reflects the fact that the sysfs numbering
of these units is 4, 5, 6, but they use internal VLM units 11, 12, 13 to
measure the thermistor voltages.

There's one remaining skew factor, in *_crit callbacks below, because
there are no critical thresholds for voltages 0-10, only for those
supporting the thermistors.

f0986bd8f3 [PATCH] hwmon: (1/3) pc87360 driver update
Use the new "dynamic sysfs callbacks", as introduced recently by Yani
Ioannou, in pc87360.

Note that this change isn't indiscriminate. Only those attributes that
would benefit from having an index (i.e., those which are
macro-repeated) have been converted.

This significantly shrinks the size of the module:
  before: 49235 drivers/hwmon/pc87360.ko
  after: 32532 drivers/hwmon/pc87360.ko
