This patch creates an interface to the clockdomain registers in the
PRM/CM modules on OMAP2/3. This interface is intended to be used by
PM code, e.g., pm.c; not by device drivers directly.
The patch also adds clockdomain usecount tracking. This is intended
to be called whenever the first clock in a clockdomain is enabled, or
when the last enabled clock in a clockdomain is disabled. If the
clockdomain is in software-supervised mode, the code will force-wakeup
or force-sleep the clockdomain. If the clockdomain is in
hardware-supervised mode, the first clock enable will add sleep and
wakeup dependencies on a user-selectable set of parent domains (usually
MPU & IVA2), and the disable will remove them.
Each clockdomain will be defined in later patches as static
structures. The clockdomain structures are linked into a list at boot
by clkdm_register(), similar to the OMAP clock code.
The patch adds a Kconfig option, CONFIG_OMAP_DEBUG_CLOCKDOMAIN, which
when enabled will emit verbose debug messages via pr_debug().

OMAP at least gets the return type(s) for the DMA translation functions
wrong, which can lead to subtle errors. Avoid this by moving the DMA
translation functions to asm/dma-mapping.h, and converting them to

This adds a simple sysfs interface for GPIOs.
/sys/class/gpio
/export ... asks the kernel to export a GPIO to userspace
/unexport ... to return a GPIO to the kernel
/gpioN ... for each exported GPIO #N
/value ... always readable, writes fail for input GPIOs
/direction ... r/w as: in, out (default low); write high, low
/gpiochipN ... for each gpiochip; #N is its first GPIO
/base ... (r/o) same as N
/label ... (r/o) descriptive, not necessarily unique
/ngpio ... (r/o) number of GPIOs; numbered N .. N+(ngpio - 1)
GPIOs claimed by kernel code may be exported by its owner using a new
gpio_export() call, which should be most useful for driver debugging.
Such exports may optionally be done without a "direction" attribute.
Userspace may ask to take over a GPIO by writing to a sysfs control file,
helping to cope with incomplete board support or other "one-off"
requirements that don't merit full kernel support:
echo 23 > /sys/class/gpio/export
... will gpio_request(23, "sysfs") and gpio_export(23);
use /sys/class/gpio/gpio-23/direction to (re)configure it,
when that GPIO can be used as both input and output.
echo 23 > /sys/class/gpio/unexport
... will gpio_free(23), when it was exported as above
The extra D-space footprint is a few hundred bytes, except for the sysfs
resources associated with each exported GPIO. The additional I-space
footprint is about two thirds of the current size of gpiolib (!). Since
no /dev node creation is involved, no "udev" support is needed.
Related changes:
* This adds a device pointer to "struct gpio_chip". When GPIO
providers initialize that, sysfs gpio class devices become children of
that device instead of being "virtual" devices.
* The (few) gpio_chip providers which have such a device node have
been updated.
* Some gpio_chip drivers also needed to update their module "owner"
field ... for which missing kerneldoc was added.
* Some gpio_chips don't support input GPIOs. Those GPIOs are now
flagged appropriately when the chip is registered.
Based on previous patches, and discussion both on and off LKML.
A Documentation/ABI/testing/sysfs-gpio update is ready to submit once this
merges to mainline.

On 32-bit architectures PAGE_ALIGN() truncates 64-bit values to the 32-bit
boundary. For example:
u64 val = PAGE_ALIGN(size);
always returns a value < 4GB even if size is greater than 4GB.
The problem resides in PAGE_MASK definition (from include/asm-x86/page.h for
example):
#define PAGE_SHIFT 12
#define PAGE_SIZE (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT)
#define PAGE_MASK (~(PAGE_SIZE-1))
...
#define PAGE_ALIGN(addr) (((addr)+PAGE_SIZE-1)&PAGE_MASK)
The "~" is performed on a 32-bit value, so everything in "and" with
PAGE_MASK greater than 4GB will be truncated to the 32-bit boundary.
Using the ALIGN() macro seems to be the right way, because it uses
typeof(addr) for the mask.
Also move the PAGE_ALIGN() definitions out of include/asm-*/page.h in
include/linux/mm.h.

debugfs can provide the infrastructure to trace the dependencies of

bit overkilling, I expect that this debugfs can deal with other PRCM

can be expressed by using symbolic links of these clocks if

This patch adds the use of write posting for the timer. Previously, every
write could lock the requestor for almost 3x32KHz cycles. This patch only
synchronizes before writes and reads instead of after them and it does
it on per register basis. Doing it this way there is some chance to hide
some of the sync latency. It also removes some needless reads when
non-posted mode is there. With out this fix the read/writes take almost
2% CPU load @500MHz just waiting on tick timer registers.

On OMAP2/3, the gp-timer code can be used for a 32kHz timer simply by
setting the source to be the 32k clock instead of sys_clk.
This patch uses the mach-omap2/timer-gp.c code for 32kHz timer on
OMAP2, moving the logic into mach-omap2/timer-gp.c, and not using
plat-omap/timer32k.c which, for OMAP2, is redundant with the timer-gp
code.
Also, if CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER is enabled, the gptimer-based
clocksource is not used. Instead the default 32k sync counter is used
as the clocksource (see the clocksource in plat-omap/common.c.) This
is important for sleep/suspend so there is a valid counter during
sleep. Note that the suspend/sleep code needs fixing to check for
overflows of this counter.
In addition, the OMAP2/3 details are removed from timer32k.c leaving
that with only OMAP1 specifics. A follow-up patch will move it from
plat-omap common code to mach-omap1.

smc91x is shared between many different platforms. Each platform needs
to specify the interrupt type, and in some cases the irq type depends
on more than just the build configuration - it depends on runtime
checks.
Rather than throwing this code into the SMC_IRQ_FLAGS definition, provide
a way for these flags to be passed via the IRQ resource itself.
Note that IRQF_TRIGGER_* constants are intentionally defined to correspond
with the IORESOURCE_IRQ_* interrupt type flags, in much the same way that
the low bits of PCI iomem resources correspond with the BAR flag bits.
Also provide a way to configure smc91x to read the IRQ flags from the
resource. Once all platforms have been converted over (signified
by all definitions of SMC_IRQ_FLAGS being -1) SMC_IRQ_FLAGS should
be removed.

This patch converts arm's OMAP mailbox driver to use
blk_end_request interfaces.
If the original code was converted literally, blk_end_request would
be called with '-EIO' because end_that_request_last() were called
with '0' (i.e. failure).
But I think these '0's are bugs in the original code because it's
unlikely that all requests are treated as failure.
(The bugs should have no effect unless these requests have an end_io
callback.)
So I changed them to pass '0' (i.e. success) to blk_end_request.

Additional cleanup for debug boards on H2/P2/H3/H4: move the init
code that's not board-specific into a new file where it can be easily
shared between all the different boards (avoiding code duplication,
and making it easier to support more devices). Make H4 use that.
This should be easy to drop in to the OMAP1 boards using these debug
cards; the only difference seems to be that the p2 does an extra reset
of the smc using the fpga (probably all boards could do that, if it's
necessary) and doesn't use the gpio mux or request APIs.

This adds generic support for the "debug board" LEDs used by most of
TI's OMAP reference boards, and board-specific support for the H4.
It's derived from the not-as-generic stuff used by OMAP1 H2/H3/P2.
Those should be able to switch easily to this version, and clean up
some of the omap1-specific code.
In addition to H4 support, one key improvement is supporting not just
the "old" ARM debug LED API (with timer and idle LEDs, plus four that
can be handy for kernel debugging), but it also supports the "new"
generic LED API (most useful for usermode stuff IMO). Either or both
APIs can be enabled.

GPIO and MPUIO wake updates:
- Hook MPUIOs into the irq wakeup framework too. This uses a platform
device to update irq enables during system sleep states, instead of
a sys_device, since the latter is no longer needed for such things.
- Also forward enable/disable irq wake requests to the relevant GPIO
controller, so the top level IRQ dispatcher can (eventually) handle
these wakeup events automatically if more than one GPIO pin needs to
be a wakeup event source.
- Minor tweak to the 24xx non-wakeup gpio stuff: no need to check such
read-only data under the spinlock.
This assumes (maybe wrongly?) that only 16xx can do GPIO wakeup; without
a 15xx I can't test such stuff.
Also this expects the top level IRQ dispatcher to properly handle requests
to enable/disable irq wake, which is currently known to be wrong: omap1
saves the flags but ignores them, omap2 doesn't even save it. (Wakeup
events are, wrongly, hardwired in the relevant mach-omapX/pm.c file ...)
So MPUIO irqs won't yet trigger system wakeup.
