Fix more include file problems that surfaced since I submitted the previous
fix-missing-includes.patch. This should now allow not to include sched.h
from module.h, which is done by a followup patch.

I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of
sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h
from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h
by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after
this disentangling (patch to follow later).
However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this.
In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as
possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for
i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real
patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only
adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any
hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts
will pick it up again in the next round.

This patch changes two things:
1) a firmware update made by the vendor, which has to be done in Windows
for now, changes the DVB-data-pipe from isochronous to bulk: it fixes the
data distortions (and thus the video-distortions) in DVB-T mode; there is
no backwards compatibility with the old firmware as it didn't work anyway
2) with the help of Steve Toth some reverse-engineered functionality is now
named correctly, thank you

This fix has also been applied to lgdt330x. There is an optimization that
keeps track of the frequency tuned by the digital decoder. The digital driver
does not set the frequency if it has not changed since it was tuned. The
analog tuner driver knows nothing about the frequency saved by the digital
driver. When the frequency is set using the video4linux code with tvtime, the
hardware get changed but the digital driver's state does not get updated.
Switch back to the same digital channel and the driver finds no change in
frequency so the tuner is not reset to the digital frequency. The work around
is to remove the check and always set the tuner to the specified frequency.

while investigating the QAM_128-issue with the stv0297-driver for the
Cablestar (which is not the same as the one in dvb-kernel CVS, yet), I fixed
it, not by increasing the timeout, but by disabling the corner-detection for
QAM_128 and higher.
This patch has been tested on dvb-kernel cvs, and has been reported to work by
multiple users. Some cards still need timeout increase on top of this patch.
This will be addressed later.

Fix two problems with the signal strength value in the mt352.c frontend:
1. the 4 most significant bits are zeroed - shift and mask wrong way round
2. need to align the 12 bits from the registers at the top of the 16 bit

Most of the patch is whitespace cleanup, but more importantly, this patch
checks to see whether a callback is set before calling it. On cx88 boards
(currently the only boards using lgdt330x in 2.6.13) every callback is set.
However, newer drivers currently in development leave a callback undefined,
and lgdt330x must not call it if it isn't defined.

In theory, there should be no more users of I2C_ALGO_* at this point.
However, it happens that several drivers were using I2C_ALGO_* for
adapter ids, so we need to correct these before we can get rid of all
the I2C_ALGO_* definitions.
Note that this also fixes a bug in media/video/tvaudio.c:

This test was plain broken, as it would succeed for many more adapters
than just the saa7146: any those id would share at least one bit with
the saa7146 id. We are really lucky that the few other adapters we want

This adds type-checking to pm_message_t, so that people can't confuse it
with int or u32. It also allows us to fix "disk yoyo" during suspend (disk
spinning down/up/down).
[We've tried that before; since that cpufreq problems were fixed and I've
tried make allyes config and fixed resulting damage.]

Fixed race between submitting streaming URBs in the driver and starting
the actual transfer in hardware (demodulator and USB controller) which
sometimes lead to garbled data transfers. URBs are now submitted first,
then the transfer is enabled. Dibusb devices and clones are now fully
functional again.

Rename lgdt3302 to lgdt330x, to make way for the addition of lgdt3303
support in future revisions.
I am changing the name of this module now so that hopefully the name will
be changed before the release of 2.6.13 ... It wouldn't make sense to
release 2.6.13 with the name lgdt3302 in it, which will only be renamed to
lgdt330x in later versions.

Select the RF input connector based upon the type of demodulation selected.
ANT RF connector is selected for 8-VSB and CABLE RF connector is selected
for QAM64/QAM256. This only affects the cards that use the Microtune 4042
tuner.

It is a small modification to the table that defines the way that the
LG-Z201 tuner is controlled for the DVICO Fusion DVB-T1 tuner card.
I believe that a mistake was made when the dvb tuner code was reorganised
(to use a generic table for the tuner information instead of inline code)
and as a result, the DVICO card doesn't tune properly.
The modification I have made to the table makes it behave like it did with
the old inline tuner code that worked. The patch is on top of the 2.6.12
kernel.

without regard to the mode selected.

The flexcop chip often stops generating interrupts after some hours of
operation. Apparently this can be fixed by resetting register block 0x300 at
each channel change (this is not detailed in the flexcop data books).
This patch also restructures DMA handling and adds a bit of debug code for the
irq problem in case it still happens for someone.

Fix a race condition where an application which issued a FE_READ_STATUS ioctl
directly after FE_SET_FRONTEND would see an old status, i.e. FE_READ_STATUS

1. Establish a simple API for process freezing defined in linux/include/sched.h:
frozen(process) Check for frozen process
freezing(process) Check if a process is being frozen
freeze(process) Tell a process to freeze (go to refrigerator)
thaw_process(process) Restart process
frozen_process(process) Process is frozen now
2. Remove all references to PF_FREEZE and PF_FROZEN from all
kernel sources except sched.h
3. Fix numerous locations where try_to_freeze is manually done by a driver
4. Remove the argument that is no longer necessary from two function calls.
5. Some whitespace cleanup
6. Clear potential race in refrigerator (provides an open window of PF_FREEZE
cleared before setting PF_FROZEN, recalc_sigpending does not check
PF_FROZEN).
This patch does not address the problem of freeze_processes() violating the rule
that a task may only modify its own flags by setting PF_FREEZE. This is not clean
in an SMP environment. freeze(process) is therefore not SMP safe!

- enabled the HW PID by default for the PCI cards
- correct the TS demux parsing when PID filter is enabled (and thus the
timer IRQ)

- driver receives many null TS packets (pid=0x1fff). They occupy the
limited USB bandwidth and this leads to loss of video packets. Enabling the
null packet filter fixes this.
- packets that flexcop sends to USB have a 2 byte header that has to be
removed.
- sometimes a TS packet is split between different urbs. These parts have
to be combined in a temporary buffer.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
