A received IP multicast datagram should be counted as InMcastPkts.
By the same token, a received IP broadcast datagram should be
counted as InBcastPkts.

An IP datagram which is being discarded because the datagram frame
didn't carry enough data should be counted as InTruncatedPkts.

For the common, open coded 'skb->h.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can
later turn skb->h.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in
64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit.
This one touches just the most simple cases:
skb->h.raw = skb->data;
skb->h.raw = {skb_push|[__]skb_pull}()
The next ones will handle the slightly more "complex" cases.

For the common sequence "skb->nh.iph->ihl * 4", removing a good number of open
coded skb->nh.iph uses, now to go after the rest...
Just out of curiosity, here are the idioms found to get the same result:
skb->nh.iph->ihl << 2
skb->nh.iph->ihl<<2
skb->nh.iph->ihl * 4
skb->nh.iph->ihl*4
(skb->nh.iph)->ihl * sizeof(u32)

when data arrives at IP through loopback (and possibly other devices).
So the field needs to be cleared before it confuses the route code.
This was seen when running netem over loopback, but there are probably
other device cases. Maybe this should go into stable?

This is another result from my likely profiling tool
(dwalker@mvista.com just sent the patch of the profiling tool to
linux-kernel mailing list, which is similar to what I use).
On my system (not very busy, normal development machine within a
VMWare workstation), I see a 6/5 miss/hit ratio for this "likely".

Keep the conntrack reference until policy checks have been performed for
IPsec NAT support. The reference needs to be dropped before a packet is
queued to avoid having the conntrack module unloadable.

To help in reducing the number of include dependencies, several files were
touched as they were getting needed headers indirectly for stuff they use.
Thanks also to Alan Menegotto for pointing out that net/dccp/proto.c had
linux/dccp.h include twice.

This patch puts mostly read only data in the right section
(read_mostly), to help sharing of these data between CPUS without
memory ping pongs.
On one of my production machine, tcp_statistics was sitting in a
heavily modified cache line, so *every* SNMP update had to force a
reload.

Bonding just wants the device before the skb_bond()
decapsulation occurs, so simply pass that original
device into packet_type->func() as an argument.
It remains to be seen whether we can use this same
exact thing to get rid of skb->input_dev as well.

I followed Thomas' proposal to see every martian destination as a case
where the ipInAddrErrors counter has to be incremented. There are
two advantages by doing so: (1) The relation between the ipInReceive
counter and all the other ipInXXX counters is more accurate in the
case the RTN_UNICAST code check fails and (2) it makes the code in
ip_route_input_slow easier.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
