The reason for the requirement is to have SAP operations without interruptions due to CAC. After starting SAP on the 2.4GHz channel, the driver will start a pre CAC on the 5GHz DFS channel requested. If no radar is detected, SAP is expected to switch from the 2.4GHz channel to the DFS channel mentioned in the pre CAC request. If radar is detected SAP will continue to operate on the 2.4GHz channel. To provide the pre CAC channel to the driver, vendor commands/attributes are used .
