Add an [Unreleased] section to ChangeLog.md covering the self-registering
packet registry and the Position composition refactor, and regenerate
docs/source/changelog.md via prepare_changelog.py. Also teach
prepare_changelog.py to normalize the [Unreleased] heading level so the
Sphinx copy stays consistent with version headings.
- Drop the remote-fetched Makefile.venv include (curl + sha256sum,
which is not available on macOS by default)
- dev/run/server/build targets now use uv (venv + pip install -e
".[dev"] + uv run), matching the uv-based CONTRIBUTING.md
- docs/check/test delegate to the tox envs that CI uses
(tox -edocs, tox -elint/-efmt, tox -p all)
- check no longer references the deleted fmt-check/ep8 tox envs
- Remove dead docker-dev target (docker/Dockerfile-dev does not
exist) and the requirements-dev.in lines (file does not exist)
- README + install.rst: 'make' -> 'make dev' and describe the uv
virtualenv the target creates
The 5.0.1 section uses a '##### Tests' category heading that
prepare_changelog.py did not recognize, so the generated
docs/source/changelog.md drifted from the committed file and the
Sphinx build warns 'Non-consecutive header level increase; H3 to H5'.
Adding Tests to the category list keeps the generated changelog in
sync and removes the warning.
- .readthedocs.yaml pointed at docs/conf.py (does not exist); the Sphinx
config is docs/source/conf.py
- .readthedocs.yaml installed dev-requirements.txt (does not exist);
install the project with its docs extras instead (Sphinx, myst-parser,
sphinx-rtd-theme, sphinx-copybutton, alabaster)
- install.rst: Python 3.6 or later -> 3.11 (pyproject requires-python >=3.11)
- Regenerate docs/source/apidoc (was missing the new aprsd.cmds.export_config
and aprsd.cmds.export_plugins modules)
It's been confusing for a while that when we configured aprsd,
we had to enter the callsign in the [DEFAULT] section and
the [aprs_network] section.
This patch removes the login from the aprs_network section. aprsd
will now use the main callsign in the [DEFAULT] section as the callsign
to login to the aprsis network.
This patch updates the 2 readme files with copies for the latest
sample-config output to match the 1.6.0 release's config.
Also fixed a small issue with the Dockerfile.
This patch adds the docuemntation source tree in docs.
